Mr. Pieplow is a Principal Planner at MCFA responsible for working with a team of highly collaborative and innovative specialists in integrating resiliency in planning and design and developing public-private ventures for aviation, transit, transportation, and military facilities and master planning projects. He brings a unique multi-discipline background and technical and project management experience to each project. He has developed unique abilities to inter-relate sustainable design, planning, economic development, land use, zoning, urban design, transportation, environmental, cultural, historical, and community concerns through more than 34 years of diversified experience across the U.S. and internationally. He has played significant project leadership roles on more than 50 master planning, infrastructure design, and program management assignments for military facilities and installations, surface transportation and transit projects, business parks and planned developments, and corridor-level, city-wide, and regional comprehensive planning projects. He has served as an On-Site Program Manager, Project Manager, and key technical subject matter expert in military master planning and sustainable design and construction. Mr. Pieplow’s technical experience includes all aspects of sustainability and resiliency issues related to planning, design, and construction for various project types, including LEED® consultation assignments for a variety of federal agencies, transit projects, and local communities. He is a certified trainer for the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure’s ENVISION program for sustainable design and construction of transportation facilities and other infrastructure systems, leading in-house agency training and awareness sessions on the use of ENVISION to achieve sustainability and infrastructure resiliency goals on their critical projects and programs.
