Mike comes to mcfa as the Director of Project Controls and Transportation Practice Leader with more than 24 years of experience delivering complex transportation and infrastructure programs across the United States and Canada. He specializes in project controls leadership, CPM scheduling, cost estimating, earned value management, and claims mitigation for large-scale rail, highway, transit, aviation, and infrastructure projects.  Mike has led multidisciplinary project controls teams supporting owners, engineers, and construction managers from early planning and design through construction and closeout.

Throughout his career, Mike has played key leadership roles on multi-billion-dollar transportation programs, including commuter rail electrification, rail extensions, roadway improvements, transit facilities, and major infrastructure upgrades. He brings deep expertise in Primavera P6–based scheduling, cost- and resource-loaded schedules, time impact analysis, and change management, and is frequently relied upon to provide executive-level schedule and cost insight to inform critical project decisions. In addition to his consulting leadership, Mike serves as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University, teaching graduate-level courses in construction project management, CPM scheduling, and construction finance.

Mike is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Construction Management, and he holds a Master of Construction Management from North Dakota State University.   Mike has several professional certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP) through Project Management Institute, a Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), and an Earned Value Professional (EVP) through the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineers.  He also holds professional certificates from Rice University, the Warton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Leeds.  Mike is also an active member of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineers (AACE) and formally served as the Program and Project Management Subcommittee and certifying boards for the PSP and EVP Exams.
