A blank calendar. A fresh notebook. A new teacher.

Remember the start of a new school year? Filled with new opportunities and a chance to improve our study habits. Be a little more organized and get ahead on the syllabus!  

It’s back to school for our kids next week. But first, one more weekend of summer. One more dip in the ocean and one more cannonball into the pool.  

Wherever you live, and whatever your weekend plans, I hope you find a way to relax. Soak in the last bit of summer.

The work to-do list doesn’t always give us a chance to “start fresh,” like a new school year. Go buy yourself a new notebook, planner or new set of pens. No one will give you a fresh start, but you can give yourself one.  

This weekend, we celebrate Labor Day to honor the American labor movement and laborers’ contribution to the nation’s development and success. Remember to reflect on how you, your teams and the many laborers in the construction industry have built America!
