Job Description

MCFA is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a CAD Technician. The role will support a client in Maryland and will require time at our headquarters in Haddonfield, NJ as well

The responsibilities of this role will be dynamic and depending on the individual’s background, knowledge and interests may include:

•Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD, Version 14, 2016 or greater with demonstrated capabilities of producing quality work in an accurate manner
•Knowledge of Bentley MicroStation
•Working closely with the MCFA Management Team and their clients to prioritize and execute initiatives and activities
•Experience in reading floor plans
•Providing facility and space planning, program and project management knowledge and skills to the team, clients and others
•Production of maps, graphics and drawings to support client deliverables and meetings;
•Coordinating with stakeholders and ensures full coordination as necessary to promote success in achieving program/project objectives
•Preparing detailed papers and spreadsheets
•Preparing for, attending, and/or leading meetings with clients, public, contractors and others
•Independently developing solutions and execute correctly, on time and to budget
•Aid in creating briefings for high level meetings.
•Writing and editing space utilization/justification statements
•Planning and tracking of major activities and space utilizations
•Preparing PowerPoint briefings for various commands
•Preparing and maintaining tracking spreadsheets
•Coordination between multiple tenant agencies
•Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

•1 to 5 years plus CAD experience
•Ability to work in the Aberdeen Maryland area as well as Haddonfield, NJ
•Ability to get things done correctly and timely with minimal guidance
•Ability to organize work and effectively manage time
•Meticulous attention to detail
•Resourcefulness when responding to time sensitive situations
•Work experience should include the scheduling of activities, organizing meetings, management of project documentation such as project plans and meeting minutes and both internal and external communication.
•Experience using mapping, CAD and graphic software package.
•Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
•Experience with office automation tools (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
•Some travel required
•Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills
•Bachelor’s degree
•United States citizenship - legally authorized to work in the US; and
•Ability to pass a National Background Check, E-Verify and obtain US Government Contractor Credentials
